Press Release: Denjong Nangten Sungkyob Tsogpo

This organisation extends its warm appreciation, acknowledgement and gratitude of the Sikkimese people to the Government of India for according deserving hospitality to His Holiness 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Thinley Thaye Dorje befitting to the stature of Gyalwang Karmapa. Moreover, we are further delighted with the Government of India’s emphasis to maintain appropriate official courtesies and protocol to Thinley Thaye Dorje as the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa. Such acts, on the part of the Indian authorities display its enthusiasm and concern of the religious minorities in the nation.

An endorsement from the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa confirmed Shamarpa as the next Supreme throne holder of the Kagyue School. HH the Late 16th Gyalwang Karmapa proclaimed Gyalwang Shamarpa as inseparable to him in body speech and mind vide His recognition letter to the Shamarpa, a rendition which no other Regents in the Kagyue school enjoys.

It is further brought to the information of all the concerned that Kyabje Thinley Thaye Dorje has already been recognised as HH 17th Gyalwang Karmapa even by the lineage holder of other Mahayana School of thoughts including the late HH Kyabje Penor Rinpoche, HH the Sakya Trijen, and further acknowledged by the Government of India and The Royal Government of Bhutan as well as the true followers and disciples of the HH the late 16th Gyalwang Karmapa, apart from His Official Recognition by the Supreme Kagyue Regent Gyalwa Shamarpa.

This organisation once again extends its gratitude to the Government of India on behalf of all the Sikkimese in particular and the universal dharma fraternity in general for according befitting hospitality to Kyabje  Thinley Thaye Dorje as the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa and request it to allow HH the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Thinley Thaye Dorje to rejuvenate His Dharma activities at Rumtek Monastery in Sikkim at this difficult era dominated by anti-dharma and ignorant forces,  for the benefit of all the sentient beings across the six realms of existence.

“May dharma and peace streams from the lotus land of Bayul Dremo Ljong to all the sentient beings of six realms”.
