Beru Khyentse Rinpoche
Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and Jamgon Kongtrul Lodrö Thaye, both referred to as "Jamgon", were born in Kham-Derge in East Tibet in the Nineteenth Century.
Manjushri is the basis of the emanation of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo. He had also previously appeared as several panditas, siddhas, treasure revealers and tulkus in the four sects in India as well as Tibet. Details on this can be found in his reincarnation prayer. Karma Thinley Rinpoche
Karma Thinley Rinpoche, master of the Kagyu and Sakya traditions, was born into the noble family of Bongsar in 1931 in the Nangchen area of Kham, Eastern Tibet. At the age of one month he received refuge and some two years later was recognised by the then head of the Sakya tradition, Sakya Trizin Dakshul Thinley Rinchen, as the tulku (incarnation) of the Sakyapa master Beru Shaiyak Lama Kunrik, an incarnation of the great Vairocana. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche
The Venerable Chögyam Trungpa was born in the province of Kham in eastern Tibet in 1939. When he was just thirteen months old, he was recognized as a major tulku, or incarnate teacher. According to Tibetan tradition, an enlightened teacher is capable, based on his or her vow of compassion, of reincarnating in human form over a succession of generations. Before dying, such a teacher may leave a letter or other clues to the whereabouts of the next incarnation. Later, students and realized teachers look through these clues and, based on those plus a careful examination of dreams and visions, they conduct searches to discover and recognize the successor. In this way, particular lineages of teaching are formed, in some cases extending over many centuries. Chögyam Trungpa was the eleventh in the teaching lineage known as the Trungpa Tulkus. more...
